Narcotic access can now be controlled and access audited with the new Knox® MedVault®. With this drug locker, controlled substances are secured until authorized personnel access them with their unique PIN code. An audit trail showing the time, date and PIN code is recorded each time the vault is opened. The MedVault unit stores 1 to 5,000 unique PIN codes and 25,000 events. The audit trail is collected through a USB port or optional remote administration.
Many EMS agencies have observed how quickly fire rescue crews pass through access gates and enter buildings when responding to emergency calls. The Knox-Box® Rapid Entry System is a proven system of high security products that helps EMS agencies to shorten response times and reduce forced entry property damage. These agencies are now implementing their own Knox® programs using Knox electric gate override key switches, padlocks and Knox-Box® key boxes for fast response to medical and domestic emergencies.
Commercial and residential property owners purchase Knox electric gate override key switches, padlocks and Knox-Box® key boxes. The responding EMS agency uses a unique Knox Master Key to access Knox devices. First responders depend on the Knox Rapid Entry System to help them protect and secure community buildings, gated complexes and fenced properties.
