For the configuration and customization of Knox products, the accessories and options you choose will depend on your specific application requirements. For example; the number of keys you intend to store in your Knox Emergency Cabinets, or whether or not you intend to include an alarm tamper switch in your Knox-Box or Emergency Cabinet.
The alarm tamper switch is installed in either the Knox-Vault or Knox-Box and connects to the alarm on your building or home. If anyone tampers with the box, the alarm will be activated.
Knox offers Recessed Mounting Kits for use in new concrete or masonry construction for both 4400 Series and 3200 Series Knox-Boxes. Each kit includes a shell housing and mounting hardware to be cast-in-place. The KNOX-BOX is mounted into the shell housing after construction is completed.
Typically, the multi-purpose switch will be mounted inside a Knox-Box or Knox Emergency Box and can be used to unlock Maglocks, electrical doors, and gates that are controlled by low voltage circuits. Other electrical equipment can also be operated by this switch. Click here for more information.
Dual locks allow shared agency access so first responders can immediately gain access during emergencies. For example, fire departments, law enforcement, and emergency medical services may share access to properties in their local jurisdictions.
